Our 2026–27 sponsorship drive is open. If you own or run a business in the Indianola area, this is the best way to put your name behind a group of students building real robots.
Why we ask
The Indianola Robotics Team is 100% sponsor- and self-funded. We get no money from the school district, the state, or the city. Every part, every tool, every entry fee, and every trip comes from local businesses and families. Sponsors are the reason a student can join this team at no cost.
Last season your support took us to a 5th-place finish in the Black Division at the Iowa Championship. This season the game is new, the robot is new, and the bills are new too.
Where the money goes
- Competition fees for the program, league meets, and the state championship.
- The new game field. FIRST releases a new game every year with field pieces we have to buy to practice.
- Robot parts. Motors, controllers, sensors, 3D-printing supplies, and structural components.
- Upgrades and repairs as the team learns and adapts through the season.
- Team costs like matching shirts and pit displays that represent Indianola.
- Travel if we advance to higher levels of competition.
Five levels
Packages run from Spark ($250) to Titan ($2,500+). Every level gets your business name or logo on the website, social media, and team materials. Higher levels add your logo on pit signage and team shirts, a video shot at your business, and at the top, your logo on the robot itself. Each level includes everything from the levels below it.
How to give
Pay online by card through Square, mail a check payable to Indianola Robotics Team, or ask us to pick one up. The team is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so sponsorships are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Not a business? Families and friends can donate any amount.
