The Octobots finished 5th in the Black Division at the 2026 FTC Iowa Championship in Coralville. For a team in only its second season back, that is a result we are proud of.
How the weekend went
The Iowa Championship brings the top teams from every league in the state together for two days at Xtream Arena. Teams are split into two divisions, and each plays a full slate of qualifying matches with randomly assigned alliance partners before the alliance selection and playoffs.
Our drivers, pit crew, and programmers kept the robot running through both days, and the team ended qualification play ranked 5th in the Black Division. Thank you to every sponsor, parent, and mentor who made the season possible, and to the Indianola fans who made the drive.

What’s next
The 2026–27 season is already underway with a new game, BIOBUZZ. We are back in the Daisy League and the Iowa Championship returns to Coralville in February 2027. Want to be part of it? Sponsors and new team members are both welcome.
